Welcome to a new school year at Thompson Elementary!
We are excited to partner with our Tiger families as we begin our
2026–2027 theme, "The Next Chapter Starts Here."
Together, we'll create meaningful learning experiences that
help every student Engage, Empower, and Excel.
Thank you for trusting us with your children! We look forward to an incredible year of growth, success, and to R.I.S.E for Tiger Pride!

Families, I want to share a little insight into the heart behind my leadership!
As both a principal and a parent, I believe elementary school should be more than academics. It's about helping every child feel valued, discover their strengths, build confidence, and recognize their potential to make a difference!
That's why we intentionally create opportunities through student clubs, leadership experiences, recognition, and meaningful relationships.
Families, YOUR partnership matters! Whether through volunteering, attending school events, or encouraging your child's involvement, together we can create memorable experiences that help every Thompson Tiger live out the Mesquite Promise to Engage, Empower & Excel!

Welcome to a new school year!
My name is Ms. Bethany, and I am excited to serve as your school's counselor. I look forward to partnering with you to support the academic, social, and emotional success of every student.
Throughout the year, I provide classroom guidance lessons on topics such as kindness, bullying prevention, friendship skills, emotional regulation, safety, career awareness, and responsible decision-making. I also offer individual counseling for students who may need additional support and can provide families with social-emotional learning (SEL) activities and resources to use at home. This month students will receive a guidance lesson on the Lucy Lockdown safety program to help them understand safety procedures and feel prepared and confident during emergency drills.
You may also use the link below to refer students for counseling services or call directly.
If you have any questions or would like to learn more about how I can support your child, please don't hesitate to reach out. I look forward to working with you and your family this school year!

Help us dismiss your child safely!
IMPORTANT DISTINCTIONS:
Car Rider = Remain in Car line and stay in your car for pickup **Display your RED cartags for dismissals**
Walkers = Students that walk home.
However, For PK - 2nd Graders:
- An adult must walk-up to pick up these younger students from door 5 [cafeteria].
- Older Walker Siblings will be dismissed from Door 6 to walk where they need to with their younger siblings.
- For 3rd - 5th Grade Walkers with no siblings, they will be released to walk.
If you need to change dismissal, PLEASE call front office by 2:50 PM.
|
Due to spacing & flow in our cafeteria, we will have specific days for each grade level to enjoy lunch with visitors (2 per student max):
- Tuesdays: Pre-K, 1st Grade and 4th Grade
- Wednesdays: Kinder and 5th Grade
- Thursdays: 2nd Grade and 3rd Grade
Parents/Visitors will need to have their ID badges to scan for entry through our VERKADA system to enter campus for lunch. Please plan to attend the building with only lunch items.
Help us in planning for spacing! We have space for 12 total adults per grade level lunch.
To reserve your spot to eat with your child or for any questions, please call front office.
Thank you!

Thompson Tigers C.H.A.M.P.S. Champions!
Staff & Families,
Help us encourage our Thompson Tigers to do their best and R.I.S.E. every day! Remind students that their positive choices matter. By following CHAMPS expectations, being respectful, showing self-control, making a positive impact, and being ready to learn, students can help their class earn CHAMPS Compliments and become CHAMPS Champions!
Together, we can catch the positive, celebrate success, and encourage our Tigers to keep striving for excellence!
